I'm in Germany! I arrived this morning and have managed to stay awake all day. In fact, it's almost midnight. So I've done pretty well. The flight was very uneventful. The driver who met me at the airport didn't speak a bit of English which made it hard for me to explain why I had so many bags. After he helped me get 3 off the belt at baggage claim he started to take off for the car. I waved him back, trying to tell him that I had 2 more bags coming. He was very nice and managed to fit all my bags into the nice mercedes benz he was driving which was a pretty impressive feat.
I was happy to get to my apartment and meet up with friends I will be working with over here. Tricia gave me the grand tour and helped me unpack and get groceries. So I was well taken care of.
My apartment is great! It is also very orange. I love it, though, and it will be a great place to live while I'm here in Frankfurt. More tomorrow!
